I was first introduced to yoga in the late 1990’s, attending an Iyengar yoga class, however didn’t enjoy the experience. Meditation and massage therapy was a practice early on in my life though as a way to connect with the mind and body. After an accident that injured my back in the early 2000′s, I knew exactly where to return, and I’ve been practicing yoga since then.
Always looking to spread the word of yoga to others, I incorporate a variety of yoga styles that includes Ashtanga, Jivamukti, Kundalini, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Sivananda, Iyengar, and now Svastha. I like to have fun with yoga though. “There is no one way to do yoga; just find your own way and enjoy it, relax and have fun.”
Native Washingtonian and I grew up just outside of DC in Silver Spring, Maryland. After years as an accountant and CPA, I changed careers over 6 years ago and also work full time as an accounting recruiter. I live with my husband two cats and dog in Alexandria, VA. I enjoy yoga, travel, music, comedy, gardening, reading and helping others.
