Newsletter Aug 1, 2022 - Running up that Hill

I heard that squirrels plant nuts in so many places that they can only retrieve 20% of what they plant.

They are so anxious and worried others will find their nuts that they hide them so well that they can't find most of them.

However nature also has purpose and meaning to all this. The nuts that remain become trees.

So thank you squirrels for helping to plant!

Everything is how we look at it. Sometimes we can't change someones thought, view or ideas, but what we can do is plant a seed. Another way to look at this story is that we can be focused on the failure and miss the fact that seeds are growing. Often those I work with on mental health issues are quite focused on the way they "thought" they should be and with yoga therapy we can begin to bear witness to the seeds.

If you are dealing with some chronic anxiety or stress then maybe we can plant some seeds together. Try new tools at home and return to discuss what you began witnessing more. Be sure to see the new group series information below starting in September.

Hope this helps and have a great week! (for no reason!)
