It has been quite a stressful week for so many and I am not here to debate which side you fall on with politics, religion or laws.
The lessons of yoga and meditation may need revisiting though it is easy to fall into the trap of hopelessness and despair. We need to be grounded, center and open to what needs to be done or actions to take.
When we are stressed, fatigued, exhausted, angry or overwhelmed we are limited in our behaviors and reactions. This doesn't mean we want to bypass the significance or urgency of these feelings. But it does mean that we are building capacity to respond skillfully. This way we can show up in our voices, actions and votes.
